Weekend Outline

The County Shield is our primary competition for the year. 14 Patrols of 6-8 scouts will be competing to qualify for the Phoenix Challenge (Aug 14th-17th). The weekend starts with the site build where each Patrol sets out their campsite (sleeping tents, store tent, dining shelter, alter fire, table etc). On Saturday morning, Patrols leave their campsite for the bases – a series of activities that will test their teamwork and scouting skills. When they return from the bases, Patrols have a cook a Test Meal (cooked over a fire). On Sunday morning, Patrol must disassemble their campsite, leaving no trace and are inspected on their uniforms.
