Dear Parents,

Our annual Group Camp will be held at the County Campsite in Curraghchase on the 19th-21st of September. This camp is for all Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Ventures, Rovers and Scouters in the Group. It’s a great opportunity to get to know the other members of the Group, especially for those due to move up to the next section soon. The theme for this year’s camp is Treasure Island

Location/Arrival

The location for the camp is the Limerick Scout County Campsite in Curraghchase

Beavers/Cubs/Scouts/Ventures are asked to be onsite between 6.30pm and 7pm on Friday

Costs and payments

The cost of the camp is €40 per youth member. This includes camp fees, food and programme for the weekend. Please pay using the link below:

• Neckerchief 
• Sleeping bag 
• Ground mat

• 4-5 changes of clothes
• Pjs (optional)
• Jacket
• Plenty of socks and underwear  
• Wet gear
• Wellies or hiking boots/shoes  
• Change of footwear (old runners) 
• Towel 
• Toiletries 
• Black bag (for liner) 
• Plastic bags x 2 (for wet gear)
• Hat, scarf, gloves, jacket 
• Personal first aid kit
• Plate, bowl, cup and cutlery 
• Tea towel 
• Toiletries, i.e. toothbrush, toothpaste, wet wipes  
• A torch/head torch
• A water bottle
• A small backpack (for use on a hike)

Please label all gear with your child’s name in case it gets mixed with others.

Swim-up ceremony

The Camp will conclude at 1pm with the Swim-up Ceremony, celebrating our youth members as they transition to the next section. Parents and family members are invited to join us for this ceremony. We aim to be off-site for 2pm (Scouts and Ventures are asked to return to the Scout Hall to help put away gear)
